This post is short, but powerful. (It has to be short because today is the first day of school for most of my kids, and that means it’s a very busy day for Mama…in fact after I finish here, the next thing on my list is to make “Banana Yummy Bread” for them to come home to…yes, I can post that recipe later-it’s a family fave!)
So what is this powerful post about? Following our Journey to Wholehearted Living, I wanted to share with you an important skill (created by Brene Brown and shared in her book, The Gifts of Imperfection) in implementing the changes that will lead you to a Wholehearted life. It is the DIG Deep principle. This is what she had to say on page 4:
“Men and Women who live Wholeheartedly do indeed DIG Deep. They just do it in a different way.
When they are exhausted or overwhelmed, they get:
Deliberate in their thoughts and behaviors through prayer, meditation, or simply setting their intentions
Inspired to make new and different choices
Going. They take action. “
So that is our challenge. When we are not knowing what to do, or how to accomplish something, or ‘aimlessly wandering’ we can tell ourselves that it is time to DIG Deep. Deliberately think about WHAT you need or want, then find your Inspiration, then Get Going!
I will reference this principle a lot through my other Wholehearted Living posts…and guess what, this Post is a representation of one of my, “Okay, Jennie, it is time to DIG Deep and share more…” Thanks for being a part of my journey…
